If you have less than ideal bitrate tracks(which in my opinion is anything under 128 kbps), iTunes Match can legitimately upgrade them. So if you cancel the service, the file is useless, and to my knowledge, there is no a way to strip the DRM from these files. The files from Apple Music are DRM laden (Digital Rights Management). So why would I need iTunes Match? The answer would be found in the files themselves, which are downloaded. After all, Apple Music gives its subscribers unlimited access to the world's largest music, and movie library. One issue I encountered recently was the debate of whether or not iTunes Match subscribers would even need to use that service anymore.
